Here is another vintage recipe I tried out yesterday! This is Ham and Cheese Impossible Pie. Remember the old Bisquick recipes from back in the day?

The very, very old versions of this were made with flour, but these you can make with Bisquick. There are so many different versions of this you can make. Sweet, savory, and all kinds of meats, fruits etc. I chose to do Ham and Cheese last night. It tastes just like a quiche! Delicious!

Here is what I put in mine….

Ingredients ~

2 cups cubed ham

1 medium size onion

2 cups sliced mushrooms

1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss Cheese

***Note*** I didn’t happen to have Swiss Cheese on hand so I used some shredded

Mozzarella - worked great!

1 cup Bisquick

2 cups whole milk

4 eggs (room temp)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions ~

In a large skillet sauté ham cubes, mushrooms and onion in olive oil or butter if you prefer. Cook until the veggies are cooked through.

Spray a glass pie plate with non-stick spray and pour the contents of the skillet into pie plate. Sprinkle cheese over the ham mixture. Set aside…

In another medium sized bowl combine the Bisquick, milk, eggs and spices together with a whisk. Pour mixture over the ham, cheese and veggies. Place pie plate in a 400 degree oven for 30 to 40 minutes. It really depends on your oven. I start checking at 30 and see if it needs to go any longer. It’s done when it’s not jiggling in the middle. This recipe is super fast and simple to throw together! Serve with fresh fruit or a salad. Also… great for breakfast too!

I should have taken a photo of it sliced, but was running out of daylight. I had some for lunch today. So yummy, yummy! Can’t wait to get home from work and have some more! 👩🏻‍🍳

This one is a keeper!
