Philly Cheesesteak Cheesy Bread
Delicious Philly Cheesesteak Cheesy Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
1 loaf French bread or baguette
1 pound thinly sliced steak (such as ribeye or sirloin)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 onion, thinly sliced
8 ounces provolone cheese, sliced or shredded
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Slice the French bread or baguette in half lengthwise and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil. Add the thinly sliced steak and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the sliced bell pepper and onion. Cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
Arrange the cooked steak over the sliced bread, followed by the cooked bell pepper and onion mixture.
Top with slices or shredded provolone cheese, covering the entire surface.
In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter and minced garlic. Brush the garlic butter mixture over the top of the cheesy bread.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread is golden brown.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
Slice into individual portions and serve warm.
