🍒🥧 Cherry Cobbler 🌟🍒
Ingredients:
🔹 4 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted 🍒
🔹 1/2 cup granulated sugar 🍚
🔹 2 tablespoons cornstarch 🌽
🔹 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 🌿
🔹 1 cup all-purpose flour 🍚
🔹 1/4 cup granulated sugar 🍚
🔹 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 🥄
🔹 1/2 teaspoon salt 🧂
🔹 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed 🧈
🔹 1/2 cup milk 🥛
🔹 Optional: Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving 🍦
Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.
2️⃣ In a large bowl, combine pitted cherries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract. Toss until the cherries are coated in the mixture. Let it sit for a few minutes to allow the juices to release.
3️⃣ Pour the cherry mixture into the greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
4️⃣ In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
5️⃣ Add cold and cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingertips to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
6️⃣ Pour in the milk and stir until a thick batter forms.
7️⃣ Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the cherry filling, spreading them out evenly.
8️⃣ Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the cherry filling is bubbling.
9️⃣ Remove from the oven and let the cherry cobbler cool slightly before serving.
